Ever been accused of and perhaps condemned for radical thinking?

Ever been accused of and perhaps condemned for radical thinking?  Jesus was and even today there are those who privately or vehemently oppose His views on how we’re to treat each other.  It is just simply not in our nature it seems to do kindness without expecting some kind of recompense in kind.  It’s a learned behavior and while not solely the property of any one person, nation or religion it does proceed from the nature of God.  Read and listen to the words of Jesus as he share His wisdom:

“27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.
30  Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”  Luke 6:27-36 (KJV)

Do you find yourself wondering what our world is coming to?  Do you wish you knew how to bring about a positive change.  I believe the answer is in these few verses.  This will work, but first y friend, you and I must work at it!  Will you join me?

We need not doubt; God is faithful.

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) Testimonials, promoting something beneficial to or for you don't just happen in church. Every TV ad, radio commercial and newspaper ad is aimed at getting your attention and convincing you to make a purchase or subscribe to something new. That is the way of commerce and we accept it as a part of living. Some testimonials you can believe, but remember most are aimed at profiting the one doing the promoting. Christians, the Church are also involved in promoting something they believe will serve to better you; the Gospel of Christ! Through the ages God has pro...

So, You Want to "Get Ahead in Life" ?

My Dad would often explain to me the need for an education so that I would be able to “get ahead” in life.  For many of us “getting ahead” means acquiring money, possession and property.  I have two questions for you is:  When is it enough? And when you have enough, what then?  God’s word says:   “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”  1 Tim 6:6 (KJV)     Imagine this conversation if you would: You:  What happens to what all I’ve gotten and all I have when I die?  God’s Word: “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.”  1 Tim 6:7 (KJV)   You:  So what’s the solution? God’s Word:  “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.”  1 Tim 6:8 (KJV) You:  Just how am I supposed to do that? Jesus:  “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto y...

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business. In God’s eyes it is a sin and one that will not go unnoticed nor unpunished is not dealt with properly. 1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but...
