My
 Dad
would often explain to me the need for an education so that I would be
able to “get
ahead” in life.  For many of us “getting
ahead” means acquiring money, possession and property.  I have two
questions for you is:  When is it enough? And when you have enough,
what then?  God’s word says:   “But
godliness with contentment is great gain.”
1 Tim 6:6 (KJV)
Imagine this
conversation if you would:
You:  What happens to what all I’ve gotten and all I
have when I die?
God’s Word:
“For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing
out.”  1 Tim 6:7 (KJV)
You:  So what’s the solution?
God’s Word:  “And having food and raiment let us be
therewith content.”  1 Tim 6:8 (KJV)
You:  Just how am I supposed to do that?
Jesus:  “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and
his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  Matt 6:33 (KJV)
You:  If I do this what will I get as a reward?
God’s Word:  “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the Crown Of Life, which the Lord hath
promised to them that love him.“  James
1:12 (KJV)
