Coming to Jesus brings forgiveness of sin, the indwelling by the Holy Spirit and Eternal life.  The redeemed of God have literally nothing to fear except not being faithful. We need not hide or shrink from the world or our purpose and calling.  God is on our side. Following the advice in these verses will simplify the process.  Take heed, take heart, take courage, take consolation, take faith, take aim and now, take action. You’re not alone!  1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.   2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.   3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.   4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

So, You Want to "Get Ahead in Life" ?

My Dad would often explain to me the need for an education so that I would be able to “get ahead” in life.  For many of us “getting ahead” means acquiring money, possession and property.  I have two questions for you is:  When is it enough? Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
