Well done, good and faithful servant...

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.   Matt 25:23 (KJV)

This line taken from a parable by Jesus to describe judgment day should cause to reflect how and why we serve Him or why we do not.  Salvation is the product of faith and not works (Rom. 6:23) but it is works (James 2:18)  that demonstrates our faith and obedience to God.  If you stood before God today, what would you have to show for all He has entrusted to you?  Will YOU be welcomed into the “the joy of thy Lord?”

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
