It is important that we not only "Believe in God" but that we "Believe God" when He challenges us.

" Be still, and know that I am God" Psalms 46:10a (NKJV)

Ever find yourself in a deep depression, angst, worry and fear at things that are beyond your ability to affect or change? We have a natural need to be in control because it gives us security; a sense of well-being. When we're not in control we tend to lose hope. God has a better plan; sit,be still and observe what God can do when we give it up to Him. It is important that we not only "believe in God" but that we "believe God" when He challenges us, when trouble assail us when finally concede that without Him we are not only hopeless but helpless.

My Dad would often explain to me the need for an education so that I would be able to “get ahead” in life.  For many of us “getting ahead” means acquiring money, possession and property.  I have two questions for you is:  When is it enough? Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
