"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10 (NKJV)
I guess the only thing that approaches the love of God is the love of parents for a newborn or even unborn child. This type of love is not a response to another's love but given freely without condition. It's the kind of love depicted in John 3:16 and Luck 1:4a. This is real, pure, selfless and sacrificing love and though we are not worthy, it is ours because of who God is. How can we not love God?
