Will you start your list of "Gratitudes And Blessings" today?

"... in everything give thanks ; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)

Later this month Americans, if not most people will celebrate Thanksgiving, that national holiday set aside by congressional action and presidential approval as a day to express gratitude to Almighty God for freedoms and liberties that are ours.

I challenge one and all, to each day write down something you are now, have been or just discovered should be thankful for until Thanksgiving Day. Before saying grace at your families Thanksgiving meal this year, share your list with family and friends. "Count your blessings" says an old hymn, "count them one by one" AND before long "it will surprise you what God has done." Will you start your list of "Gratitudes And Blessings" today?

My Dad would often explain to me the need for an education so that I would be able to “get ahead” in life.  For many of us “getting ahead” means acquiring money, possession and property.  I have two questions for you is:  When is it enough? Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
