Ever feel like you’re the only one doing anything in your church?



13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.  2 Thess. 3:13 (KJV)

Ever feel like you’re the only one doing anything in your church?  You feel overburdened and underappreciated?  May I ask “Who’re you doing this for?”  If you’re doing it for personal satisfaction; you only have you to blame.  If it’s for the church; it may or may not go unnoticed or appreciated.  Church members are only human.  If it’s for the Lord it is never unnoticed, unappreciated or unrewarded.  Doing the good and right things is a Godly quality.  

Don’t let other’s lack of dedication and commitment affect or deteriorate your commitment causing you to “weary in well doing” or to stop.  You’re reward is pending but secure.

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
