Ever hear of Christians being referred to as “hypocrites”?

11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. 13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.   Gal 2:11-13 (KJV) Ever hear of Christians being referred to as “hypocrites”?   Ever been called one?   Merriam-Webster defines “hypocrisy” as a “feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially:   the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion.”     Often these accusations are leveled at struggling Christians but all too often they are valid comments.   Yes, Christians are not perfect, we struggle with sin and faults but we’re a work in progress.   True hypocrites however fake or feign their faith and their worldliness.   They lie

To be unequally yoked or joined is to court disaster or in the least prolonged unhappiness.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?”   2 Cor. 6:14 (KJV) To be unequally yoked or joined is to court disaster or in the least prolonged unhappiness.   Originally it referred to the pairing of different sized or different species animals in a yoke to pull a plow or loaded cart.   Their inequality could result in poor performance or even injury to one or both of them.   Putting it simply; believers (for their own good) should not enter into unions with unbelievers be it in marriage, business, recreation or in spiritual matters.   The differences in values, philosophy, faith and morals usually seem to end with the believer compromising their faith and offending God.   To remain faithful to God   Paul offers the following advice:   “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; an

I was saved a few months ago and I’m so full of joy with my new life!

About 5 years ago a cousin of mine was saved prior to our meeting a our annual family reunion.   “What’s New?” I asked.   “I am” she responded with a huge smile.   “I was saved a few months ago and I’m so full of joy with my new life.”   “My life has been completely changed!” she continued, “I can’t believe how alien my old lifestyle seem now, I don’t want to ever live that way again.” “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”   2 Cor. 5:17 (KJV) When sinners surrender to Jesus for salvation they too are transformed into new creatures. Their old life pales in comparison to the new life in Christ.   People that know God serve God and will someday live eternally with God.   Salvation; your salvation is no small thing.
