Do you want to walk with God?

Salvation is God's gift to you received by His grace. We cannot boast of having done anything to earn it, merit it or deserve it. Understand this, we're created with a purpose and a work to do because we are saved. God created us and ordained a purpose for each of us. Do you want to walk with God? Discover His plan and purpose for your life then get on track to accomplish it. The sense of fulfillment you'll receive is only a small part of the blessing that will come to you. "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" Eph 2:8-10 (NKJV)

There are laws of nature established by God which cannot be changed.

" 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Gal 6:7-9 (NKJV) There are laws of nature established by God which cannot be changed. Stated above is one such law. We will reap what we sow! One cannot change these laws to one's benefit and it is to our detriment to attempt doing so. One cannot sow the seed of ungodliness and expect to somehow reap holiness, virtue and glorious eternity in the end. What did you sow this week?

Reflection over the progress of one's life is a good thing.

Reflection over the progress of one's life is a good thing. To gauge our growth, advancement and progress in life it is helpful to establish milestones or waypoints as we work to accomplish our goals. Accomplishing God's Purpose in our lives requires focus, a sense of direction and determination to stay the course. Whether driving a car, steering a boat or flying an airplane course corrections have to be made to arrive at the chosen destination. God is calling us to make the necessary course corrections to stay on the narrow path that leads to success and eventually to Glory. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. 26 Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left, Remove your foot from evil.  Prov. 4:25-27 (NKJV)
All beautiful stone statues originally started out as plain and unremarkable blocks of stone cut from a stone quarry. Most blocks all look the same to the laymen but a true artist can "see" the statue he or she will eventually reveal as the chisel and chip away at the stone. Similarly, you and I are works of God's artistry, hewn from the stone of a hard life as He reveals the beloved child He saw through loving eyes. The Prophet Isaiah said it this way: "Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug" Isaiah 51:1 (NKJV)
