15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Tim 1:15 Paul never lost sight nor overcame his personal salvation experience.   In his eyes the simplicity of the Gospel is what made it so powerful.   Christ came to this world to save sinners; that’s it; the Gospel in a nutshell!   He also never lost sight of the fact that it was sin that made Jesus’ death necessary.   Let us never forget that we sinned, that Jesus died for us and that victory is our because of this. We will observe the Lord’s Supper at the end of this morning’s worship service.   Begin now that spiritual self-examination and prepare to receive it.

“6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.   7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.”   Eph. 5:6-7 (KJV) Ever try to “take back” words that you’ve said?   It’s impossible and if they were hurtful or damaging the hurt and damage they’ve caused cannot be undone either.   God put His Word in writing so it could be studied, examined, tested, proved and obeyed to our benefit.   Liars, the really good ones, never put anything in writing so they can’t be put to any sort of test.   Paul cautions us to be wary of these liars because the accepting their lies and acting upon them will bring misfortune, hurt and punishment on God’s Children. Read the Bible, get the facts straight and live by it.

                   “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”    Eph. 6:11 (KJV) Many years ago and just out of high school I went to work for a construction company.   Every day as I entered the worksite were signs reading “Hard Hat Area” or “Steel Toed Shoes Must Be Worn” or “Fall Protection Required” and etc..   Construction and industrial facilities have a vested interest in safeguarding their employees and for good reason; it saves lives, protects employee health and in the end, saves money.   God too seeks to protect the investment He made in us and for good reason.   Believers who wear their spiritual protection lead Spirit led lives, lead the lost to Jesus and save souls.   Wear your protection daily, our world is a dangerous place.
