but all too often I've been guilty of not being able to "see the forest for the trees!"

I don't know about you, but all too often I've been guilty of not being able to "see the forest for the trees!" That is I've become so focused on one dilemma, one problem, one challenge, one....anything, that I can't see the overall picture. It's at times like these i need to step back and put things back into their correct perspective. This is essentially what the Psalmist is telling us here. Yes, your problems are large and for you alone they're overwhelming. But the "redeemed of the Lord" are not alone , we're part of a team! Our God, our Hero if you would is our Savior and our Deliverer! It is He who watches over us, He who will protect us, He who will provide for us and He who will fight and win our battles.

1 I will lift my eyes to the hills-- From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
8 The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even
 forevermore.  Psalm 121:1-8 (NKJV)

Read your Bible.

It has been said that in the heart of man is a God shaped void which can only be filled by the presence of God. Mankind has a hunger and thirst for the fulfillment only God can bring but sadly we seek to feed the hunger and quench the thirst with worldly things. God knows what we have need of and has written us a guide to discover how to have fullness of joy and peace. Read your Bible. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.  1 John 1:4 (NKJV)

Are you “on schedule” with God or are you running late? If not; today is a good time to start catching up!

1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.   Isaiah 51:1-2 (KJV) The art or process of mapping a journey overland, sea, air or space requires the use of fixed or known reference points along the route.   It naturally begins with a starting points and the identification of a destination.   When covering large distances “way points” are established to (1) measure distance traveled and for (2) course correction to ensure one is still on the planned route.   Way points are also places where one can restock supplies, rest and refit for the journey.   The Hebrews of Isaiah’s time had a “history” with God and here He calls them for a stroll down memory lane.   Modern day Believers also have a “history” with ...
