It's the Great Day of The Lord and what a day it will be.

It's human nature I guess that we so often anticipate with great excitement coming events with either great expectation, mild enthusiasm or dread. Birthdays, holidays, Fridays, anniversaries and the list goes on. The Apostle Peter wrote of a great day that he said we as believers should look for, prepare for and even long for. It's the Great Day of The Lord and what a day it will be. It's a day of judgement, a day when the world as we know it shall end and new one begin which will only be populated by God's Elect. Are you prepared against that day?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 2 Peter 3:13-14 (NKJ)

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
