He is Immanuel, "God with us"!

A young virgin, betrothed to a just man receives amazing news and is overcome with awe and praise for God. She is to be the mother of the Messiah, the Christ, the Savior of mankind! An unlikely scenario, an impossible circumstance; that one should conceive a child by God Himself. The God-Child was to walk among men, lead a sinless existence and reveal God to us. He is Immanuel, "God with us"!

31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.

Ever wonder how God views our offenses inflicted on others?  You and I may consider and classify offenses as Grave, Serious, Major, Mild, Minor and Insignificant but how does God view them.  We classify them as such even if we’re the offended party but we’ve all seen a “Minor” offense have “Grave” consequences depending on a variety of details. “Minor” offences are like minor scratches and thorn pricks, they can be infected and cause great illness and even loss of life or limb.  Spiritual “wound care” is of vital importance.   Jesus teaches that we’re to avoid all offenses and when we are offended we should bring it to the offender’s attention and seek resolution.  If we offend it is then incumbent that we seek forgiveness.  Offending/Hurting one another; it’s serious business.
